Karnak Playhouse presents an evening with

The Kransky Sisters

Hosted by Coral Grimshaw
with Annie Lee and Madame Lark

Donít miss this evening of entertainment with The Kransky Sisters, returning again to Karnak Playhouse with their hit show Heard It On The Wireless, joined by Madame Lark with her bird calls, Annie Lee with her Kabarett and Coral Grimshaw as host. A variety show not to be missed!!
Annie will perform an eclectic mix of original and European Cabaret songs in her own unique style. Her German Kabarett influences began with the works of Kurt Weill and Bertolt Brecht and moved on to the more eccentric works of Agnes Bernelleís translations of the poetry of Joachim Ringelnatz.
A childhood of bushwalking, camping trips and sitting in the chook-pen at home meant developing a keen appreciation for her feathered friendsí varied voices. With family and friends joining in the chorus around the dinner table, Christine Johnston began to develop her much-loved surreal Birdwoman character Madame Lark.
Annie Lee and Madame Lark will be accompanied by acclaimed Queensland musician, Gary Nunn.
With their packed up Morris The Kransky Sisters are heading to North Queensland after sell-out seasons in Australia,, New Zealand and  Edinburgh. These oddball and endearing sisters are about to unload their baggage as they bring to KARNAK PLAYHOUSE, their award-winning hit show, Heard It On The Wireless. Venturing far from the dusty curtained private world of their old family home in Esk, rural Queensland, Mourne, Eve, and their oddly reclusive rather peculiar sibling, Dawn Kransky, are arriving in Darwin with their darkly funny stories from across the countryside. In their uniquely homespun versions of popular tunes heard on the old wireless, they cover songs from The Eurythmics and Talking Heads, to ACDC and Steppenwolf.
